Formant Related Entropic Developer

FRED is a Reaktor 6 synth created with a pair of doubled up formant oscillators tuned as a bass and a lead that play against each other. They can produce a surprising range of tones, albeit with a distinct audio signature.

FRED is an interesting asset in your toolbox that has a USP, namely XY control over the oscillator pitches and tunings as well as XY control over a comb-filter and a reverb. This gives FRED the ability to change tonal settings in real-time while performing or recording.

FRED can give you acidic leads and basses as well as a weird array of soundscape capabilities.

FRED has 40 presets accessed in the drop-down up top and has an A/B GUI, the latter being a bit darker.

PLEASE NOTE: full version of NI Reaktor 6 required. The free Reaktorplayer will allow FRED to run in demo mode only and will stop functioning after 30 minutes.
